What's Bangkok like?

This is my first blog.  I just wanted to post some pictures to share with family and friends.  It seems like nobody has an idea of what Bangkok is really like.

It's an urban planners nightmare where the word "downtown" is never written or spoken.  Fortunately, there are two well-placed train lines that will take you anywhere you need to be.

After you've traveled around and seen a few sights, you're bound to get hungry.  If it walks on two legs (or four, or eight+) then you can find it right on the sidewalk.  It's been said Bangkok has the worlds best street food.

It's madness out there, and I love it!  

Want malls?  Bangkok has more per square kilometer than most cities.  Why?  It's really, REALLY, super hot outside!

Speaking of being hot, the average tempurature is 87F, or 31C.  In the summertime it can commonly reach 97F, or 36C.  Better pack some sunscreen.
